2015 JOS Week 11 Who's swimming this week?

So I did not want to clutter up the other threads with my swim workouts so I thought I'd start this one. 

As it stands I'm the last guy that should be firing up a swim thread unless it's for help, of which I need a lot. 

1400M today, which was painfully exhilarating.  I spent a lot of time by the side of the pool to keep what little form I have together.  It seemed to break down really quickly so I did not even attempt the 200's, just kept it to 50's and 100's.  Once I got out I felt really good but I was definitely not a fish in water.  The whole workout took almost 50 minutes.  I typically swim IM distance in 90-95 minutes so a lot of work to even get there.  Good thing I started early this year.

  • I'm swimming this week. ( I admit I never stopped swimming with my Masters group during the outseason...) I, too, swim IM in 90-95 minute range so I always have work to do and I really enjoy my masters group. Slowly, I am making progress!
  • I'm going to start swimming this week, with a masters group.

  • Been swimming about 1/week for 2k yards most of the OS. Ramped it up to 2x a week the last couple...speed seems to be maintaining but have work to do before I have 2.4 mile endurance
  • I've been getting in the water 2-3x week but only for instruction and drills. I'll start adding some of these shorter intervals at this point.

  • I loved today's swim (I was the only one in the pool during my w/u this am) but admittedly I did the 200s as a pull set with paddles and an ankle buoy. It's hard not to use the toys for at least 1 set.
  • I've been swimming once or twice a week all outseason, because I'm REALLY slow. I've been really working on technique and trying to get the darn PULL working better. I'm hoping one of these days, it will all come together.
  • I jumped in for the first time today! Felt weird to get back in, but I felt strong which is a plus. Bring on the itchy skin and sneeze-a-roos.
  • The swim scares the hell out of me, so I need to get crackin'

  • I jumped in the pool today. First swim since November 29th when I only swam 1000 yards. It felt great to be in the pool, but the workout has me sore! Forgot about all those muscles needed to swim. Glad to have the swim slowly get back into the flow of training.
  • I was swimming 2x/week (mon/fri AMs) until I got a bad URI about a month ago. It was 1000m-all form drills as I am in the 90-95' IM camp and still learning good form. I guess this will be the week I restart but missed yesterday already as I had to swap rest days and do Sunday run.
  • Made up yesterday's swim this am (I know...you're not supposed to do that). Felt really good to be in the water:

  • After a month off, finally got to the pool yesterday am before work. Only had time for 500 but it's a start!
