Sue Chapman's Island of the Misfits year...
Rich - don't answer this yes - our Knighthood attempt may happen next weekend!

Hey Rich,

I didn't fill out a season planning survey because I'm still deciding what to do this year (what to do, what to do during a non-IM year). Just need some feedback. Here's what I think:

In week 11 of 14 of OS - focusing on biking - just didn't get in much running during the OS (but starting to ramp up a little with warmer weather) and in the pool this Monday for the first time since August (ugh).

OS Week 14 ends April 12 (getting in 3-4 bikes and 1-2 runs)

On April 11 I'll be locked in my cave attempting a Knighthood of Sufferlandria ride (about 11 hours). Have had several 4 hour trainer rides and will do two 5 hour rides (March 21 and 28) followed by 2 hour ABP rides on Sundays - incorporating the EN way in KoS training! I think I'll be off the bike for AT LEAST a week after April 11, maybe two.

Just signed up for a Duathlon on May 15 (which I've never done before), A Race Door County HIM July 19.

Just need guidance on when to drop into HIM and how to incorporate some Get Faster work prior to the Duathlon. Thinking:

Easy work (maybe using GF but scaled back and no bike) for 1-2 weeks right after KoS (April 13-26), then two more weeks really focusing on hitting GF targets (April 27-May 10), then 10 weeks of HIM, finishing July 19. Or 3 weeks of GF and 11 weeks of HIM? Goal for HIM is average swim, really strong, solid bike to set up for a good, solid run.

I'll be adding in sprints, olys, HMary, trail race or two (20k-50k), maybe try a bike race or two, and then there's the idea of becoming a referee. And, heading to Lake Placid to volunteer and sign-up for 2016. I think I can sort out all of that and fit it in as needed if I have in my head the GF and HIM schedule.

Let me know if you need me to fill out the schedule or if this is enough to work from.

THX!
