Bike Rims (Affordable)

I currently have a crank based PM and have flo 60 front / flo 90 rear wheel.  Planning on doing IM Tahoe (I live in Denver and hit the mtns as well).  I like the flo wheels but they are heavier compared to other wheels.

Any recommendations on finding affordable lighter rims?  I wouldn't mind going used but want to make sure I don't get stuck with a rim that's been cracked, warped, damaged, etc.  Or do I save up bite the bullet on some new ones.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

Are you looking for training and/or racing wheels? Personally, I find it's much, much more affordable and better ROI to make myself lighter than to worry about ounces on a bicycle. Unless you don't mind spending $$$$ on your bike to make it light, because you just dig it. That's cool too.

Hed Belgium or Ardennes, and Zipp 202s are great training setups

  • I was thinking for racing but I get what you mean on the body weight
  • John - send me an email jeremy.behler@gmail.com...I have an unused pair in my basement collecting dust.
