Calculate Swim T-pace minus 3 seconds
This is a pretty basic question- I'm ashamed for not knowing the answer! But which of the following is the correct way to calculate the total interval time for a set where the target pace is " T-pace minus 3 seconds", the Interval is 400 meters, and the T-Pace is 2:00?
Option 1: ( 2:00-3) * 400 = 7:48
or
Option 2: (2:00*400)-3 = 7:57

I was afraid of that!
300 (20") @ T-pace minus 2
But I didn't want to confuse or complicate my question by including the rest time.
