Should we start a May 2015 Get Faster Thread? Anyone still on board?
The other thing, I'm trying to figure out how or if I should continue to add a little more volume than the bike portion of the Get Faster. I know the HIM had me doing two rides on the weekends and moved my long run to Thursday. I wondering if any of you do the long run on Sunday, and then go out and do an easy ride after that or if you might add an hour to your Saturday ride just to get more volume in?
Hi Stephan,
I have moved to the IMLP thread and am testing this week.
I have hacked the HIM by moving long run to Sunday then Sunday ride to Thursday. The Thursday ride for me is not ABP however, it is a repeat of the Tuesday ride with a mix a Z4/ Z5 and 1:40 to up to 2:00 hrs with ~130 - 140 TSS load.
Because I was looking down the barrel of the Tour of California with EN, about 450-550 miles in 7 days, I was adding some random volume to the GF plan. I replaced one interval day with a long ride, 3-4 hours, and I added some bike "commuting, biking to the track or pool for swim or run intervals. As well as doing a few 1-2 hour tandem rides with my wife. It didn't seem to affect me, as I was able to do all the rest of the program, except for the second mid week bike intervals.
I'm gonna finish GF in mid-May then start HIM for an August HIM. I haven't really looked ahead at volume but know I'll have to hack/modify/amend the plan to fit my schedule. I'll have to take it one week at a time and work in the most important workouts. I'll probably swim 2x per week max so I can get the other things done. I've missed a few runs during GF but feel like its all about the bike for me because its my weakest leg. Time to start adding some focus to the run. I'll follow into a May GF forum but will also be looking for a HIM forum in late May, June and July. By that time Al and Shaughn will be flying down the mountain in LP.

I will try to start a May 2015 thread for those of us that wish to continue on. Happy last day of April.
