I'm staying in SG on Sunday, checking out on Monday. I think some others may be doing the same. Is anyone interest in doing some tourist-ey type stuff with me on Sunday? 

Let me know if you'll be around, if you're game, and I'll toss out some ideas.

    A couple of PTC peeps and I will be headed to Vegas on Sunday and staying the night there. We won't be in a big hurry to get there since it's so close so if there is something cool to do in SG then keep me in the loop and I will share with the others.

    Ok, so, this is what I would do Sunday if I had never been to Zion, etc. We can do this as a group, or you can use this as some ideas for you and your family:

    • Drive with your bike to Springdale and have breakfast at Oscar's, very good food. 
    • Ride your bike into Zion Canyon. The road is closed to vehicle traffic, only vehicles allowed are the NP shuttle busses. It's a very scenic ~9mi in, 9mi back and you can just totally noodle it. 
    • Lock up your bike and take the shuttle to The Narrows and walk/hike that. You're basically walking up a river in a red rock canyon. Stunning, bring water shoes and a walking stick is recommended. You can rent stuff shoes and sticks in Springdale. 

    There's also Angel's Landing and other hikes but depends on how shelled you are. But riding your bike into the park is highly recommended.
