HIM Adv Wk 15 tweak for Hmary Race

Coach, 

Half Mary on Sun 4/12, how to tweak wk 15 of HIM Adv Plan to work this race in.

This is my HM test for my outdoor vdot.

Still do 2 hr run Thursday? Still do Sat Run and Bike?

  • John, great question! I recommend that you plan on Sunday being that long run. So we adjust the week as follows:

    Mon - As planned
    Tues - Move Wed Ride / Run here.
    Wed - Interval run.
    Thu - ABP ride from Sunday, keep it to 90' max, 75 if on trainer.
    Fri - As planned.
    Sat - Ride for time, not intensity here. Just get out and spin...no bike.
    Sun - Warm up and race that thing!
    Monday - Recommended as off, but you could swim easy for 30' if you think that'll help!
