Tweaking swim camp runs

Coach...just finished JOS and start swim camp tomorrow with a half marathon on Sat. April 25th. Should I do prescribed run 1 week from race(60' with 2X1 TP), or something else?....I think last year you recommended something like 60' done as 20' HM plus20"/ 20' HM pace/ 20' HM minus20".

Also, would you do the prescribed 60' with 2X1 TP run the week of the race(would be 3 days before race), or something else?

  • Steve congrats on the JOs!! I say yes to 21x1 a week out, after that interval do 20' at goal race pace then just steady; race week I'd prefer you drop the 2x1 and make it a 45' run with 2 x 10' (5') at goal race pace. Good luck!!
