done with OS now new plan makes no sense
Im done with the out season and now downloaded the plan as indicated for IMLP and it says I should be 4 weeks in to this one ? really. Also it makes no sense as I am running in the Boston marathon on Monday and it doesn't reflect the adjustment. Are they just generic plans we pay for?

They are "generic" plans, but the coaches line them up for you a certain way so that they make a training road map for your season. You will often wrap up an out season plan or a "Get Faster" plan and jump into a race plan in week 4, or 12, or whatever. The plan that you just came out of should set you up, fitness-wise, to jump into the advanced weeks of a race plan. You will always start a race plan in the correct week that will cause the finish of the plan to align with your race day.
In terms of your race plan not accounting for Boston on Monday, reach out to Coach Patrick and he will give you advice on how to adjust this week and next of your plan, as you prepare for and recover from Boston, then you'll get right back on track with your IMLP plan.
Good Luck in Boston. I'll be watching from the comfort of my couch!
Hi Sabrina,
In the Triathlon Season RoadMap I created for you on 12/1/2014 during your trial, I indicated that on March 9th you were to load up the Balanced Marathon Training Plan to end on 4/19/2015, and you'd use this as your training plan for Boston. See the image below. It sounds like you didn't do this?
Let us know, thanks!
Thanks for the comments. Boston was so cold and rainy oh and the wind made it worse. Clearly I was nervous based on my first post but I had altered my training to accommodate the snow etc. and it matched what I was supposed to download. Sorry for wigging out. I was so much slower than I hoped but now I know what to do. I also raised over 8k for my sons school Perkins School for the Blind. I am now following the plan and am back on track. I think Im ok now just trying to fit it all in with kids and work (and divorce). Thanks again
Don't forget that we want you to just be on track with the schedule...no need to push yourself into a bad place just to make workouts work. You can giveme some info on your weekly schedule and make me give you some advice!
Keep up the good!
