Mark Hickman's 2015 Micro Thread

In the advanced plan for IM CDA ~ starting week 13 this week.  The weekends of Week 14 and 15 will be with family and not conducive to putting in a Camp Week.  Is week 16 too close to race day to think about doing it then.  My biggest concern is the bike mileage ~ I've really been focused on getting the work in this year ~ no excuses if I can help.  Planning and starting a move across country starting weekend before race doesn't help.

I'll be fine with the swim, and feel that run fitness is coming along ok.  Perhaps 112+6 Sat and 112 Sun this weekend.  Would be quite a big jump in mileage for me, but think that is the point anyway:o)

  • Mark, let's do this weekend, back to back 5 hour days (not 112, just go by time) and then if we need to, we can do a bit more volume when you are "Back" in week 16. I like going early with the mileage as it gives you some flexibility later should things not work out with your schedule. Let me know if you need help with anything there!
