Olympic Race During IM Training

I am doing 70.3 Boulder in June, and IM Boulder in August.  There is an Olympic race in Boulder on July 12th.  Is it a bad idea to do this race and then take on some extra riding afterwards i.e. treat it like a training day?  Also, since this is an IM Sponsored race does EN get points for the Team Competition?

The weekends beginning ~ Wk13 or 14 in your plan through IMB become exponentially more valuable the deeper into your plan you go. Sounds like that race would be in prime IM-specific-training territory that may be better used by following the plan.

That said, not a deal breaker to race but just be aware of ^this.^

Sorry, I don't know what an IM-sponsored Oly is or if those points count towards the tri club competition. 100% of the conversations with WTC re points has been around 70.3 and full IM events.
