Workout time conflict? Or just a typo?

Got this - http://members.endurancenation.us/R...+Your+Plan

Just curious about the following:

1) SC ADV WK 17 Tuesday - Volume 45 Minutes - MS: 20' as HMP/Z3/Mod-Hard out and TP/Z4/Hard back

2) SC ADV WK 18 Tuesday - Volume 30 Minutes - MS: 20' as HMP/Z3/Mod-Hard out and TP/Z4/Hard back

Is the reality of the MS,

run 10' @ HMP + 10' @ TP, for both weeks, or

run WK 17 - 20' @ HMP + 25' @ TP and WK 18 - 20' @ HMP + 20' @ TP?

Comments

  • Andy, it's this one:

    run 10' @ HMP + 10' @ TP, for both weeks

So the MS intervals / work stay the same, but the overall training time drops.

Taper time...hope you hate it less than I do! image
  • Okay, cool. Yeah, the engineer and computer scientist in me likes to over analyze numbers.

Gulf Coast thunderstorms are goofing swim workouts (Ymca shuts pool down at sound of thunder) this week. So, reduce run volume may help recover swim workouts.

Sooo, EN does officially recognize that "Taper" does exist?!? jk, I deal with taper by moving on to the next race. Taper is recovery to start my next training session.

    Thanks! for the insight.
  • The plans are a guideline; you know best. I personally do A LOT of resting on race week outside of a TT swim of the race distance the monday of that week. Everything else is just on cruise control. image
