i raced this new course in 2012.

as we know, two loops.    each loop has short out and back then long out and back.

for the hill starting the long out and back, there were only plastic cones separating bikes from 50 mph cars.    has this changed ???

for the end of the long out and back, at the steepest and fastest part of the course, the knuckle heads had a no passing zone.  has this changed ???

In 2013 it was the way you describe above.... Not sure about last year...

2014... No passing zone remained as you describe. I don't remember anxiety or conflict with cars being an issue on this well paved, wide shouldered, gentle gradient and curved for lane highway. I can't remember how they set it all up, but worries about motor traffic seemed non existent.

I seem to remember the no passing zone on the way back was right before the descent, not actually on the descent itself....this was two years ago; and a short one crossing the bridge at the interstate interchange.
