Parking Logistics at CAC

There's a slight chance that I may be able to do the Half at CAC. I wouldn't be able to arrive until Saturday morning and I have found quite a few hotel options (that are in my budget) that are still available. They are all close to Bader Field but I would need/want to drive there on race morning.

What is the parking situation on race morning? Are there places to park if someone drives to the race venue that morning? Any insight into the race morning logistics as far as this is concerned would be much appreciated! Fingers crossed that I can make this happen. It would be a "C" race (I'd choose something lower on the alphabet if we had it) for me since I haven't really been training for a Half at this point but redemption for me since I wanted to do the Full last year but couldn't due to travel/work/schedule conflicts.

Thanks! Wolf

  • Plenty of parking right next to transition. Some traffic due to entrance and exit is one small gate. Double Che k the hotels nearby as some are kinda sketchy.
  • Robert- Thanks for the quick reply! When you write "sketchy", do you have any details to share? Places I should avoid or any places you would recommend? I was trying to avoid the casinos and big hotels directly there on the boardwalk.

    Thanks!

  • Just check trip advisor or mention which one your looking at and I can tell you if that's one that they found a dead hooker out back. Just kidding sorta. As Carol said route 30 hotels are a little better and black horse pike hotels close to Fire road and the parkway are better.
