Race day 1 week away!
Howdy folks. Looks like we have some more peeps that popped up on the race roster. If you are not interested in a team lunch or dinner I would still like to meet up with you all for a team picture. Please respond and let me know if you are interested, also please feel free to call or text me (number is in the team spreadsheet).
Sorry I have been quiet, unfortunately work is kicking my butt and I am traveling way more then I bargained for! I hope all of you have enjoyed a positive training experience and are looking forward to the big day!
I got to ride the (somewhat modified course) last Sunday. I hooked up with 2 folks who have ridden the course many times so we were able to buypass some of the turns towards the end of the loop. I think the course is in good shape, and I hope they will do some sprucing up before next weekend.
I wish everyone great weather for training this weekend (looks like another wet and wild one in Colorado).

Looking forward to meeting and racing with the EN Boulder crew! I am up for lunch or dinner Friday. Have any plans been set? I think I saw a posting about lunch a few weeks back but don't know if anything got locked in.
From the weather forecast, it looks like we may get a great day for racing Saturday, although rain is predicted leading up to the race. Does anyone know what the surface of transition is (dirt, grass, pavement, etc)? Wondering if transition is going to be like Woodstock.
I'm up for lunch or dinner on friday! As for the weather, we're gonna need to wait and see. The forecast called for rain today all week, but we had a great sunny day. So my advice is not to get too settled on the forecast until the day before because it will change pretty much daily between now and then.
@Gabe - the surface for transition is asphalt (it's part of the parking lot at the res). The run will be partially on dirt trails but they are very gravelly so even if it does rain it shouldn't be muddy.
@Mark, thanks for the info. Sounds like we'll be okay even if we get rained on. I guess the only worry would be the swim getting cancelled if there are thunderstorms.
After spending the last decade in the monotonic weather of So Cal, I'm learning about the unpredictability of weather in the Mountain West. At least it doesn't look like it will be hot
I think the thunderstorms are more likely in the afternoon, but who knows. I am just trying to get mentally prepared for the cold water!!!
