Pat Ward Travel week advise

Starting week 6 of GF traveling to Italy on Sunday at midnight. I arrive late afternoon Monday. No bike and no Pool. here is what I have planned:

Monday- just an easy 45 minute run

Tuesday- Do my 3X1 mile repeats

Thursday-Easy run with strides

Friday-my 85 minute long run with repeats

Sunday-Back in China Saturday night, do My 2.5 hour bike with my China pals

    Question, why the Saturday runs before the bike?

    Sat runs pre-bike are about quality running, no fatigue. Not required, just a preference. If it's easier to do the traditional bike/run way, then go for it!
  • Coach, this week is a mess. I'm coming off my Make a Wish 300 mile bike ride. I managed 50 miles running and 324 on the bike last week. This week is suppose to be test week, not sure I will have the legs or the time. I'm traveling back to Shanghai Friday morning.  Here is what I think I can do.

    Monday-Open water swim, 2.4 miles

    Tuesday- Group run with some fast friends. I'm trying for 90 minutes

    Wednesday-Maybe a 5 hour fast ride with Rich or anther 2.4 mile swim

    Thursday-A run of some sort

    Friday- I will have to run again, the bike will be packed

    Saturday- Arrive Shanghai late Saturday, maybe a swim at best

    Sunday- Group ride on the TT bike or maybe even solo. At least three hours, ABP

  • Just saw this, sorry...you still need to absorb last week's epic work...I say that you plan on Friday as a short, short run, call it 30'. Saturday is totally off / travel / recover. Sunday is a ride, but not ABP, just a good steady ride...then Monday back on the plan!
