Moving Power files to a new computer

Ok smart folks, I have a new computer at home and have loaded up the Power Agent Software and managed to figure out how to save all my rides (about 3 years worth) from my old computer and load them up into the Power Agent software.  The Problem is the ride dates don't transfer over.  Every ride it shows the date that I downloaded the file to the new computer and not the actual ride date.  I can't possibly go back and change the dates on every file.  I've considered only loading up the key rides that I would most likely refer to like RR1, RR2 for each Ironman I've done and then just change the dates on those files but is there a way to have the files load properly and save me the hassle.

I've also thought about going back to my old computer and loading up each ride to a web based application.  Not sure what that would be, maybe Strava or whatever the other options that Power Agent gives you.  I'm now appreciating more the Garmin Connect site where all my runs are just online regardless of my computer.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • I'm not that familiar with Power Agent but you could probably use TrainingPeaks as a go between. The product allows for bulk uploading and then mass exporting of data. So bulk upload from the old program and export to the new PC.

You may need a paid version of TP.

Their tech support is great so maybe ask them before you attempt.

  • Following this as I had the same issue a few years ago and just gave up....
  • Thanks for chiming in. I'm going to look into Training Peaks. If that doesn't work, I will pick and choose what I want to upload. Not sure I need every ride from the past 3 OutSeasons, but maybe some of the tests, RR1s and RR2s, big days, and Big Bike Weeks. of course races.
