time of workouts

Hi all, I'm sorry if I am wasting your time with questions that you have answered a million times but my searching on the forums seems to.....SUCK.  Anyway, I just started my 20 wk intermediate plan for HIM this week and my run workout was slated for 60' with a 15' wu, 2X1mi (2') and 5' cd.  Now, I'm slow, but I was left with 20+ minutes left.  I'm all about the best bang for my buck, but I felt I needed to finish the 60 with z3 work.  I have also seen that some workouts will not fit in the time allotted in the plan, what do you do then? just go over?  I crossed because my time is limited and I am trying to get the most out of the workouts without being kicked out of the house.  Anyone else run into this?  Thank you.

Dan

  • Dan - EN math can get a bit fuzzy at times. General rules:

    • If you're pressed for time just do the MS
    • You can't go wrong filling any extra time with Z3 work.

  • Totally fuzzy math. Usually it works in the opposite direction, with more work than will fit in the estimated time.
  • Agree with Both, but especially Beth ;-0

It's the dirty little secret of EN Training plans.  They look so short & easy!!!!  They are not!

  •  Perfectly put, I couldn't get the words right!!!  Very funny, you think you are going to get in shape by doing nothing here!  Bastards.
