Garmin 910XT update issues

So I just got back (Friday) from 5 weeks on the road expecting to down load runs and swims from northern Virginia, Kentucky, South Korea, and Japan to Training Peaks using the Garmin Express functionality (something that worked fine before I left).  When I connected via wifi dongle to my home computer, it automatically uploaded a 910xt software update.  And promptly erased all my data from the last five weeks.  Okay, it is what it is... So I ran this morning  (Monday).  Put my Garmin down by my computer expecting it to upload.  Nothing.  To either Garmin Connect or Training Peaks.  I tried taking removing the 910 profile from express and reloading it, nothing.   Now it 'see's' the 910 but doesn't allow me to connect it to my account.  Now all it does is show the "Data Transfer" page on the 910 screen over and over without actually uploading anything.  TP's Device Agent won't recognize the device either.

I've uploaded two bike ride using my Garmin 500 no problem.  

Any suggestions (besides buying something else)?
