Christina Davis 2015 micro

Hi, Coach Patrick!

I'm currently in the get faster plan and I'm schedule to start my IM plan next week (7/5) for IM Florida.  However, I have been sick the last week and a half with a nasty summer flu/virus so I have not completed any training the last 2 weeks.  I'm also now battling a migraine that will not go away!  I got on the training yesterday to see how I would hold up - which was not great.  I did about 50 mins and had trouble holding zone 3 for prolonged amounts of time.  It felt like an epic fail!  My concern is that my body is not ready for the test week that is scheduled for next week as a part if my IM plan.  Should I adjust my plan?  I hate to miss much training as I feel like I'm losing my strength and endurance but I also want my body to be 100 percent healthy.  Any guidance would be great!

Thanks, Christina Davis

  • CD, so sorry to hear bout the migraine...ugh. That sucks.

As part of your transition back, I don't really care about intensity, I just want time. So don't make the early workout return any harder than it needs to be. If it says ride 75', then just do that in Z1-2. You'll eventually be able to add some intervals, but first let's just get back on track!

No need to test...we can do it later...right now "passing your test" just means getting the workouts in!!!!!!! image

    Sending you positive energy,
