Olympic and Marathon plan
I'm racing an OD on 9/20 and the NYC Marathon on 11/1. I'm interested in blending my OD training with a marathon plan. Rich suggested following the OD plan and checking with Patrick on adding longer running in August, and then transitioning to marathon after 9/20. Patrick...?
Also, how do I get more stars next to my name? Somehow, I've improved to 2.5, which is better than one but...

As for the NYC marathon, you can use the SC plan but also refer to the Marathon Volume Hack article here: http://j.mp/1HYDcGB
I would make sure you do that long run on Sunday, plan on Mondays are swim only to recover and include the Thursday Tempo Finish Run where you can. Otherwise your goal is to get your run mileage up safely...so look at your log for the last 6 weeks and build it up over the next few weeks (esp using the split long run).
