Ralph Moore's Macro Thread

Hey Coach,

Fall races got the axe this year for lots of reasons, I have been swimming with the master's team and working on run frequency but it looks like I have several long biking weekends through the fall with at least one >200 mile weekend each month.  I was trying to be bike focused and was wondering what plan I should use?

Should I just do the get faster plan and throw in the long weekend rides? or some special sauce plan? I expect to hit the NOS this year.  Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ralph

    Hey Ralph,

You could use the GF plan for the weekday swim, bike, and run workouts, then do HIM-esque rides on the weekends. Or, as I think about it, use the HIM plan but turn down the volume of the long run. Basically, with that later option, the longer rides on the weekends will be baked into it rather than you having to make that change. And the long run will be on Thurs vs Sunday (in the GF plan).

    Good luck!
