Wet suit replacement or

 Hello Coach P,

 

I know that Coach Rich says always use sleeves.   I will follow that advice.  My question is I have an older sleeve wet suit.  I is 8 years old and uses only a few times a year.  Do you think i should get a new one for  a 2.4 mile swim?

 

Also, are there any suits you could recommend?

    Hugh, by now 8 years is old. As in not as good as when it was new. Rubber is probably degraded a bit and not as bouyant / snug. If you don't care about your speed and want to finish, then just use it. If you want a few minutes back in your corner, go wetsuit.
