I just wanted to send you a quick update on my training. Football season has started for me so no racing since Lubbock 70.3 back at the end of June. Sunday I finished up a 6 week bike focus (advanced) and have seen a lot of good improvements to go along with that. I have also been swimming 2 days a week at 1500m just to keep a base and work on form, stroke and speed. Next weekend I'm going to participate in a 5k and another in Oct. I'm looking also at a sprint tri or a dulathon next month and possibly a half marathon in Dec. Should I switch over to a 6 week run focus now or just load the bike focus back up again? My goal is to still and try to prepare for Ironman Texas and do a 70.3 during late summer possibly. I have also written down what I need to work on as well as gaining a better positive mental attitude toward my racing too. When does the outseason start for Ironman Texas and should I do the outseason since the work I'm doing now is helping out? Thanks for your time!

The NOV OS starts....on 10/26 (of course!). So you have about 6 weeks to go...ideally you would do the run focus now, but stop it in week 4 (From a super intensity stand point) and you and I can figure out a two week block that keeps your running going for the Half without blowing you up at the start of the OS. How does that sound?
