Paul's New Road Bike - 2015 Argon 18 Gallium Pro
My new road bike was delivered today...number 4 in the stable. This is a photo of Winston guarding my bike while I was racing in Austria. The Gallium Pro was ridden by Team Bora in this summer's TDF. I was looking for a serious climbing and descending bike (obviously not for Florida) with a traditional build...no electric shifting, no batteries, standard brake mounts, aluminum track wheels, etc. I also ruled out aero road bikes due to poor compliance compared to traditional framesets. Basically I wanted a top of the line bike with none of the tech hassle that is part and parcel of new technology. The specs: complete Dura Ace 11-speed mid-compact drive train, 52/36 front and 11/28 rear cassette. Dura Ace 9000 shifters, brakes, and pedals. Dura Ace WH9000 C35 wheels, Enve compact aero road bar and Enve stem for which I will get the custom Enve Garmin mount. The bike can be seen in person, from behind , by those attending the 2016 EN Florida Volume and EN Blue Ridge Cycling camps.

OK, You;re on. (Hope to) see you there.
Beautiful. I am so jealous. I didn't know they had a 52 36 crank. That actually sounds perfect. That dog looks terrifying.
sweet.
considering a 11-32 due to the 36 chainring ?
Lest I gave the wrong impression, the dog isn't mine. Winston is a national champion show dog. My bike was built by Wrench Science in California. They delayed shipping to ensure it would not arrive when I was out of country, and assigned guard duty to Winston. But what a great photo!
