Aaronson micro - biking

Coach P, just finished IMWI as you know.

Time to recover my running injury so I'm seeing a new doc and self-imposing a 4 week running ban pending medical input.

I'd like to be able to eat more than 1600 calories per day so looking for some bike workouts I can do on the trainer, say 4x/week, to maintain some bike fitness (or at least slow the decline) and also keep my metabolism kicking. I don't see any training plans for that and don't really want to do a full-on "bike focus" with 2x20' FTP intervals etc. More just maintenance and general fitness stuff.

  • Matt - you could always pull a workout from Trainerroad or hop on Zwift
  • x2 what Jeremy. Said...you should do fun, challenging stuff, not a plan. After IM following a plan other than recovery is no good...not required. I'd do 2 x weekly bikes and 1 nice weekend ride for the weather, enjoying riding again etc. Obviously swimming is also not a bad option if you can stand it...
