Vittoria Open Corso for IMCHOO

I have a gear question with a short window of time doing IMCHOO this week.  I have Reynolds  Asssalt/Strike wheel set new this year, I've been using Conti Gran Prix 4000 however with this wheel I can't change the tube, it is too tight for me to remove the tire.

we put on Vittorio Open Corso, which was flexier. I've never raced in these tires, Will I be okay in IMCHOO if it rains, also I've read some questionable reviews on durability.

  • I love the Vittoria Open Corsas for racing. I have never had a problem in the rain or with durability (IMLP 2 yrs ago was a monsoon). It's my race tire of choice. And I agree with the flexibility. I can take them off without any tire levers...
  • Agree with JW.  You are basically swapping out the Bentley of clinchers for the Rolls Royce of clinchers.  Scratch this one off of your list of $#%* to worry about this week.

  • I love you guys, thank you.. SO happy I posted to people in the know!! Now I have more time to stress about something else.
  • Yah, Cathleen, No worries. This is my only tire of choice for the last 3 IM and doing #4 in two weeks with a brand new set. I've done several rides in the rain with these tires with no issues.

Now go obsess about something else... image
  • What are you worried about Cathleen - you are going to Kill it (Again)!!

Dropped my bike off with Ron this morning- it is getting real :-)
  • Yep, that's what I race with, and in fact trained on a set all summer, not bothering to change my tires out after racing IMSG in May. Great tire.

  • Thanks all for calming my roomie! This is why I love the haus!!!
