Speedplay Zero Aero Walkable Cleats
My speedplay cleat wore out yesterday. I need to buy replacement cleats today. Does anyone have experience with these? If so, what are the pros/coms versus regular soeedplay cleats?

i have always been a speedplay fan. though i use light action. and i change cleats often. and I use my own screws that are longer with allen key heads. wish the light action had this type of bottom.
as a side note i have made an interesting change. I am now using mountain bike shoes with Crank Brothers egg beaters. I have a Northwave mountain bike shoe that is lighter than my road or tri shoes. i now have total freedom with running in transition, walking, stopping during races, etc.
I've been using these:

for the past three months. They are removable rubber covers with a hole in the middle which fit over the SpeedPlay cleat. I take them off for races, and just leave them on for the rest of my rides. My LBS recommended them instead of the SpeedPlay version. I don't know they are there, and I don;t have to worry about damaging either floors or the cleats.
Addendum...like Robin, I sometimes use mtn bike shoes and pedals on a road bike. Specifically, I have some racing Sidi shoes and SpeedPlay Frog pedals paired. I found them particularly useful when watching pros race up in the mountains. I could ride up, then walk around for several hours waiting for the race.

I am now planning on doing all my riding with mountainbike shoes.
