Run durability modifications

Hi Coach,
You mentioned when we talked to check in on how to modify the run durability plan
to add swims and run more frequently but shorted.
I try to get to masters swim on Mondays and Saturdays. Monday's masters attendance
varies due to life commitments so it may double as a rest day.
My thoughts are to do the Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday runs. Trade the Saturday bike for a swim.
Keep the Thursday swim. Rest or run Friday depending on how I feel or schedule or what happened on Monday.
Those were my thoughts.

  • Eric...thanks for checking in!!!! My only concern about dropping Sat bike is that is the _only_ bike on the schedule! Ideally you'd keep "a" bike there...here's how your weekly outline shapes up:

    Mon - Swim Masters OR Rest
    Tues - Run
    Wed - Run
    Thu - Swim
    Fri - Run
    Sat - Swim Masters
    Sun - Run

    I don't think you need 3 swims at the sacrifice of 0 bikes. I say that you aim for Monday Masters (Social, good) and plan on Thursday as your one bike day (you can do main set or just keep Sat ride to 60' here). Friday is your OFF day for the week...allows you to get all your work done for the week, line up the next week, etc.
