Got Sunday's run in early am on the t-mill. As others mentioned, started to feel the cumulative effects on the 2nd interval. My legs are looking forward to a day off tomorrow My left calf has been complaining for the last couple of days and hopeful it is nothing a day of rest won't resolve.
Beautiful evening for a run! My legs are starting to come around from all the downtime since IMWI. Haven't tried any speed yet as I've got twinges here and there, but I think I'll try some intervals this coming week.
2 downhill miles to the track, then 1 mile at Z1.5 at the track; followed that up with 3x1 miles at 6:40-6:47 pace with 4' recoveries 2 uphill miles back home
~9.5 miles in total over 1h16min
Great WORK this week everybody!
I'm traveling to the UAE for work until Thursday so should be able to run, but will probably have to use HR for Tuesday's bike if I can find a spin bike or something similar
Summary of Run Week: Was planning to test on Wed but couldn't due to issues at work and then had to go to Mexico City and decided to test there...but the thin air at 7200ft took a toll and it turned into a 46min 5 mile run
So...back home (now at 5800 ft) I decided to re-test and got 22:38 for a VDot of 43 and completed 5.3 miles. Not too bad (even as I am more of a 20-21min 5K) given the altitude and that I have not been doing too much speed work lately (did the local Marathon here in 4 hrs 3 weeks ago) https://connect.garmin.com/activity/943633694
Today did the Sun 1 hour run completing 7.23 miles
Got the Sunday run wko done early this morn in the chilly fog. Hit all the paces, but not without some fatigue in the second z4. Held serve for the last 2.5 miles at z2, which felt good. Legs will be happy to rest tmrw. Great week of work all!
Sat night's late bike wko and a sick kiddo waking up every 2 hours, was not conducive for an AM run. It was raining anyway. Did an impromptu swim at the Y, because my daughter was nervous about her swim class.
I figured a 4 pm run would be dry and still in daylight. I was right about the daylight. Starting after my second lap on the track, it began to rain. By mile 4 it was a complete downpour. Got it done though.
3 mi@z1.5, 2×800 & 1×1 mi @ z4. Completed with 6.8 miles in 56'

Nothing fancy just executed the WKO, resisted the urge to do a little more as is a LONG OS ahead. Week one done
Best,
Dave
