My current plan has me completing the Run Focus ending this week and beginning the Outseason Plan next week.  From what I can see, this week is testing to see how much I have gained over the last few weeks.  Next week is testing again to start the offseason.  First thought would be to repeat the final week of my Run Focus and then do the testing to start the Outseason.  This is my first Outseason.

Here's the wrinkle.  I was recruited to replace someone in the McDowell Mtn Ragnar Relay race on 11/6-7.  

How should I handle fitting that in, as I'm sure it is going to be tough, but its also like two long runs on Saturday. 

Also, from what I saw, there are new OS plans coming out.  Which will be the correct one to load up.

  • Well, I think I see one problem, even though the date to end the Run Focus was 11/1, I am supposed to load up the OS a week early, so there is no overlap. I thought the OS Started 11/1, but I see according to the other posts, is has already started.

    Now I just need the other answers.
  • Gary, you have the run fitness, so I would do the bike workouts of the OS (this week is still a testing week!) and then week 2 of the OS as planned, but only the week through Thursday. Friday off, then Sat / Sun is runs only, Monday off...tuesday back at week 3 (albeit gingerly!).
  • @Coach Patrick I am struggling with completing the race rehearsals because of the heat here in AZ and hours in the day.  Can we jump on a phone call and discuss upcoming IMLP to verify my race plan ideas?
