adjusting OS to my schedule

Hi Coach P--

I have no idea how you stay onto of all the minutia in this forum--but here's some more for ya.

1) Just switching over to OS2016, which I'm thrilled to start.  Sunday is my off day.  Wondering if you still recommend shoving everything forward a day in the plan.  EX. I'd skip MOn rest day on the schedule & start on Tue(as my mon), and so on until I get to Sunday (as my Sat), giving me one rest day?  I'm not sure if how my body will respond to this new plan, but my thoughts right now are that I might need 2 rest days for a while, then maybe build up to 1 a week??

Started working on composition like we talked about a couple weeks ago & was doing great till halloween a day before, day of & day after halloween tracking calories in my fitness pal-

2) Is there a group on there for EN?  And is it important to be able to track grams of macronutrients or just percentages?  Wondering if I should pay for the upgraded version or just stick with the free?

Thank you!

  • Sheri - And yes, it is totally fine to move the plan for by one day as you have suggested. That is how I do it!

About managing days off, however, I strongly suggest you stick with two days off at least through the first four weeks to see how your body adapts. I'd rather be a little more conservative here so we don't put you in a bad place that we have to climb out of.

As for body composition, simply the act of tracking will be helpful. Personally I do not look at the macronutrients, I find that level of granularity to be too much -- tracking can quickly become a full-time job if you are not careful. I basically did the research to determine my baseline level of calories per day, and then track my calories across the day to ensure I was in the right place. :-)

I don't think enough has groups, but you can search for people on the team and become their friends. good luck!
