can you tell me why the zone's are not in order for example if your zone-1 is 170-190 wouldnt zone 2 start at 191?  I have just never seen the zones have gaps like this?  Thank you!

  • JG - We have spaced your zones out intentionally as a means of truly segregating the work you do at each level, whether it's heart rate or power. If the top of you Zone 2 HR is 141, and when running you see 142 on the dial, you are not automatically in some new training territory because of one beat!

    Of course, there is some wiggle room between zones. Most coaches have their own approach to managing intensity, and this is ours. image
