Sure I'll bite:
Location: basement
Setup is computrainer with whatever bike I'm riding usually a road bike.
Dedicated trainer wheel with vittoria trainer tire.
PC running trainer road or perfpro and/or sufferfest
TV next to that for watching regular TV.
2 music stands setup with one laptop for netflix, amazon or other streaming binge watching
Second laptop is my work machine that has email, general web junk in case I want to read anything or just catch up.
Next to that is my phone there is also some good headphones so I can watch while kids are hanging in the basement as well.
Off to the side is a basement window with deep sill that I store all my drinks and nutrition on.
I put in serious time on the trainer so I need all the distractions I can find.
It's huge with room for the trainer, an elliptical, workout bench/free weights, bathroom off to side w/tub to immediately wash off and yes a bed. tV with Xbox mounted on a side wall so my sons can come in and hangout while Im riding. That's really cool that my 9, 12, and 13 year old boys can have fun doing their stuff but get an idea how diligently momma trains.
I so agree with the Netflix/movie watching! I'm so going to get the rest of Breaking Bad in this winter and Game of Thrones. But my FAVORITE thing to watch is stand up comedy!! I love my pain cave in the cold months!
Pics to follow!! Promise!
All outdoors. The porch is right off the kitchen so I just put things out the night before in the kitchen and set up early in the morning. Typical rides start around 5am weekdays. So usually it is very dark and peaceful outside. The usuals end up on the table: drinks, fan, towels, and the Mac for Trainingpeaks and youtube music videos or whatever suits me. I record the ride on the Garmin 510 on the 2010 Cervelo P2 I ride. Pretty basic. I love the cool outside in the fall and winter (Arkansas usually does not get much below upper 20's in January, and the porch tends to moderate the cool/wind).
Oh and cleanup is a snap with the leaf blower!
Mine's always a mess, but here it is. The room is a spare bedroom on our 2nd floor, since the basement is too miserable to currently use (and too hard to get the TM down). The TV is connected to my laptop (set up for yesterday morning's WKO) and is on a up/down/left/right arm to bring it up for the TM when needed. The bike is on a Wahoo KICKR controlled by the Vector2 pedals via the laptop. The recumbent to the right is my wife's; I wish I could get her using it more, though so that it's not just my work stand while I'm on the bike. The carpet in the room will be trashed, but we plan on replacing with something harder at some point. The fan on the floor is either there or in front of the window to suck in cool air.
Awesomesauce! Those all look great. And agree that Atilla has more of a cockpit. Suh-weet.
I live about 45 minutes east of San Francisco so I can run and swim outside most days year round. In winter the weather may get to high 20's in the morning but most days are in the 30's and 40's. No snow.
I used to have a whole set-up with 32" TV, Onkyo receiver with Bose speakers, treadmill, TRX set-up, etc. Today, however, I have simplified greatly. I have removed all the aforementioned gear for a minimalistic approach.
I have taken one area of my sons drum room: 15" Retina MacBook Pro sitting on a TV table for TR and Sufferfest. My bike is in a 6 year old Cyclops fluid trainer and my audio is Bose Sound Sport headphones. And a big ass fan to keep me cool. Power comes from my PowerTap P1 pedals.
