Keeping toes warm
I'm a total cold wuss. For a bike ride, in any temps less than 60*F, I'm bundled up like the kid from Christmas Story.
With that said, I cannot keep my toes from going numb on the bike. I've got toe covers and wool socks, but still no help.
Any other ideas?

When temps are above ~35F, I wear a very thin dry wick cycling sock, then slide my foot into a thin Ziploc bag, then put a good merino wool cycling sock over that. Not too tight for me. Works pretty dang good. I save the bulky shoe covers for the coldest rides.
Like Nemo mentioned, if you're tempted to put 2 pair of thick wool socks or tempted to stuff warm packs into your shoes, remember that a foot that is too crowded in the shoe will force the warmer blood away (especially the toes), and make that foot colder & more aggravating faster.
