Observations with today's core work. 1) Still a little tired from the 17 miles running on Saturday, 2) The plank time has diminished significantly with leg lifts, 3) Balance yoga moves are not my forte and that's the mindset with which I came into today's leg lift, arm lift while singing the Marine anthem planks (crash), 4) laughing while you are trying to hold the multi-appendage-lift planks does not help in the least.
This really is fun (hence the laughter).
Thanks for the laugh Pat!! I have Monday's core in the books..the planks are definitely getting harder. But, I'm amazed that I can knock out 20 push-ups and eek out 17 at the end! My arms are shaking and vibrating as I type this!!
@Pat, thanks for the laugh! My planks with leg lifts must look ridiculous, because I feel like a beached whale lifting its tail over its head while balancing on one fin. At least some muscles are doing work somewhere in there. I missed a few core workouts due to sickness, but am back at it, and the triceps and core are a little sore after the Monday wko. I saw all numbers fall off, but I will use this session as a new baseline and climb up from there. Body composition has maintained steady, which is a victory for me, since I usually gain 15 pounds this time of year.
