2015 Year End SBR Totals

The idea of this thread is to post your year end SBR totals.  Its not a competition but a prompt to go over your data , compare to previous years , and hopefully use this data going forward into 2016.

To the best of my knowledge the data below is correct... I do occasionally find a double posted wko due to some download glitch and or the automatic sync...All the data was taken from my Training Peaks.... In 2015 I did a good job of estimating my mileage during trainer and TM time where in previous years the hrs maybe correct the mileage maybe off... The other thing I did in 2015 was try to adjust my training peaks settings for the swim when transitioning back and forth from wetsuit to non-wetsuit swimming to more accurately report TSS.

  • I can totally see you chasing the extra 2 hours in the remaining days of 2015, if only to clock up a net gain!
  • I monitor this by season, not calendar year.I have data going back to 2007 easily accessible, and back to 2000 with a bit of work. But I'll only do a quick summary for last year (# of sessions, hours, distance)

    Swim: 128, 116, 316km

    Bike: 150, 323, 5190 mi

    Run: 163, 159, 1043 mi

    Weights, Core, Etc: 156, 55

    Skiing: 15 days, 25

Total: 612 sessions clocked on my Garmin Fenix 2, 660 hours total. I've got everything loaded into WKO and (presumably) training peaks.com, but I don't know how to access an annual total of TSS from that. These totals are in line with my yearly average since 2007:

    Swim: 121, 100, 270 km

    Bike: 151, 298, 4800 mi

    Run: 157, 143, 976 mi

    Wts: 87 sessions, 52 hrs

Skiing: 15 days, 29 hours (this is hours I'm actually moving, not riding lifts, standing around waiting, or eating, etc)

661 hours average per year; my highest total was 728 hours in 2009 season

  • Tim, how many ironmans were you training for each of those years?
  • @Dave- Yeah I woulda been all over that , actually it would have happened naturally , even with my time off after IMAZ , but I had to go and get injured.... So nope I wont be that guy ...

@Tom - 3 IM's per year for the last 3 years... Next year only 1 IM but as recovery and health will allow I would expect the same kinda volume or more in 2016 , I may only be doing 1 IM in 2016 but I'm pretty sure there will be some equally silly plans..
  • my stats for the year. Reminder that i was cut short from running in Jan - April as well as swimming, due to Rotator cuff surgery and i was cut short on everything after July 25 when i herniated a disc..

    Bike 3732Mi 232 Hrs
    Run 673.6 Mi 101 hrs
    Swim 120,320 yds 43 hrs
  • So, here are my year end totals as pulled from Garmin, my main tracking database. I was totally shocked my swimming decreased from 2014, but as I think about it I put a lot of effort into improving my swimming in 2014.

    2015

    Swim: 145.2 miles = 255.6K yds
    Bike: 3,284.53 miles
    Run: 2,096 miles

    2014
    Swim: 149 miles = 262K yds
    Bike: 2,386.5 miles
    Run: 1,261 miles
