2015 WTC/USAT Rankings
The idea of this thread is to post your year end rankings, WTC and USAT, within your AG... Its not a competition but a prompt to actually look up your 2015 rankings/results , compare to past years , and more importantly to really delve into your rankings within each discipline to see where you may want to work on this year going forward... IOW find your limiter and work on it.
Note: my WTC ranking is USA and IM distance only as I haven't raced the WTC 70.3 distance since 2013/2012 and only 1 each year.....As you can see below my ranking trend is not moving in the right direction... Must be the competition improving cause it can't be me right? Bottomline I was quite happy with my 2015 results and how I ranked within each discipline at each race... The ranking system is not perfect (specially the WTC one) the USAT ranking system is pretty accurate IMO... But they still have some variables based on past results, distances, etc that can vary the data .

These are my WTC rankings for Canada (but now that Satish is moving up to Ironman, I'm resigning myself to 7th in 2016). I don't have a USAT ranking, as far as I know.

Except for a little dabbling with no training in 2007, 2012 was my first year in triathlon with an IM and a HIM. 2013 only 1 tri. 2014 1 IM, 2 local races. 2015 1 IM, 2 HIM's. I need to race more!!!Curiosity hasn't killed this cat...yet. So I went looking at the snazzy little engines WTC and USAT have for their rankings. And found a mind-numbing range of possibilities. By state, region, (USAT) by country, world, overall, IM, 70.3 (WTC) I could go back to 2009 on USAT and 2012 on WTC. Who has time? I gotta go get ready for a party tonight!
So, briefly, USAT: 2014, State/1, Region/2, USA/20 (out of 454; total of 6 races ranked); 2015, State&Region/3, USA/101 (out of 463, total of 3 races); WTC (World/USA ranking, followed by totals, for IM only): 2014 3/1 (out of 388/180, 3 races), 2015 39/15 (out of 420/202, 2 races)
I didn't really know all this data existed. I guess what I really care about is performance in individual, specific races.
Tim, I remember a post last year dicussing the rankings. WTC seems to rank you higher the more events you do. I received that benefit this year. I wish with USAT you could get your ranking for the specific distance, but that is not possible now. In any case, the improvement of my ranking definitely make me feel like I am training well
