sort of considering jumping into ironman texas this year.

slots sold out.   only expensive fund raising slots avaiable (like $5000).

Endurance Sports Travel unsure if they will have entry packages.

anyone know of other entry options ???        Endurance Nation have any slot options ???

    i have had the longest Ironman break i have had in a while.   have gone from too many in a year to not enough.     i think i am the happiest if i always have one lined up for within six months at least.

    You tend to do well down here too. If you're in for 2017, I'll join you. It'll be a bit cooler, but it may end up being a rainy race too. Both of those might actually benefit you pacific nw types.

    one of the reasons is all the Kona slots this year.

    i do not know where the North American championship will be in 2017.

    EN has no "in's" for race entries, for any race, after registration for the event opens up.

    If they want to move the North American Championship away from IMTX, they'll have to put another race into the early part of the year (which I'm totally in favor of).

    Exactly!  Unless it isn't the N/A Championship in which case I might reconsider.   Meanwhile, EST home page says they have slots.  Recommend you send them a note soonest to confirm.

    Put your name on the list for Endurance Sports Travel. I had a friend use their service. There must have been a bunch of last minute cancellations because they got into a sold old race with 3 or 4 weeks notice. Hate to train all the way to the end and not get in though.

    yes I am on the list for Endurance Sports Travel.     but they do not know yet if they will have entry spots.        their website listing not entirely accurate.

    no entry spots have yet materialized.

    training starting off spotty with frequent illnesses. 

    will give it a miss if I do not hear by this month.

    Fair enough, be well - staying healthy is 90% of the battle!  Of course you could still join us for Lavaman as well... Worst case see ya in Whistler!
