At the Columbia Triathlon (in Maryland) many years ago, we were prepping in transition before the race and suddenly noticed several deer swimming across the lake. They ran up out of the lake and through transition so fast it was downright scary!!! No one was hurt, but I'm sure the deer were wondering why the heck all these bikes and people were in their morning grazing area!
