Hi Coach Rich,
On 4/26 I'm scheduled to upload Intermediate Half IM Plan. I'm wondering if there are certain markers that I would need to hit in order to be ready for the advanced plan. Vdot? Bike Power? Others?
I realize that I do not want to train at the advanced paces until I am ready. Mainly I ask, because I am doing a lot of visualization right now in my life and I'd like to add some visualization / affirmations around getting myself to the advanced level in training for CDA 70.3
I am following the intermediate OS plan right now and will follow that plan.

Historically we've used recent triathlon race PRs as indicators of athlete levels. Having said that, it's essential that you have a strong bulletproof run in order to the advanced plans. That is, I don't really worry too much about an intermediate athlete making the jump to the swimming and cycling in the advanced plans, as long as their run is solid/they have a history as a fast, solid runner.
Not sure if that answers your question, but you could always start with the Advanced plan then go to the Intermediate if you feel it's too much
