2016 Os Core Week 13- Mind over Matter

WOW!! Can You believe it's week 13?? What happened to the time!! WE ARE GETTING THERE- YES!

  • I'm just going to say.......the superman's are HARD! 

     

    I've added a Vasa workout on the core/strength days and have consequently backed of my repetitions of push-ups and stretchcordz.

    I don't want to put too much pressure on my shoulders this early on and felt like it was a good idea. 

     

  • Chose to do an hour Yoga yesterday. Doubling up on Mondays has not been good for me.
  • Sunday was my 13.1 race. (6 min PR!!) I was told to take monday and tuesday off by CP. I had a great 2hr massage on monday night, but before the massage I got in some push ups and planks. Looking forward to finishing off this OS core with 3 more strong work outs. Good luck to everyone racing/testing next week!
  • @Todd, I'm with you on sore shoulders.  I have one that has gone progressively worse.  The upper body work of the cords and pushups are new.  

    I'm already thinking about how to continue this fun.  For me I like Yoga since it integrates stretching with core work.  I'm not sure what to do about the upper body work and will need to fit that in.

  • Definitely feeling those supermans in the low back. Uggh! Agree with the theme, that those are buggers.

    I missed my last Friday core, and it showed on Monday, with push-ups taking the biggest hit. I definitely need to plan on keeping these exercises going after the OS, since my core is definitely stronger than it has been in a long time. Good luck with the last OS push!
