Hyannis Half Marathon

So I officially registered for the Hyannis Half Marathon!! I have never been there but heard its a great race and I needed a half marathon- SO why not?!? Just curious if anyone has done this before? Any info on the course?? Just curious!  THANKS!!

Hi Laura...I have done this race a handful of years ago. Nice race, well run, I don't remember many hills. I do remember the wind and some snow on the side of the road that year. I think it really depends on the weather with regard to what kind of race it will be. The Cape is always a little warmer than the rest of New England. (Relatively speaking). I run better in "cooler" weather and that is why I enjoyed this half compared to other summer races. Enjoy and good luck.

Laura, I have done this race like 6 times...my in-laws live very nearby and we are usually down for it. Very weather dependent...can be warm, flooded or frozen.

There are a few rollers...the only hill I'd speak of is at mile 5 or 6 ish as you run off the water in hyannisport. The winds can be a bigger factor IMHO, but you won't find a better winter road race! Can't wait to see you there!!!!

WIND was one thing that concerned me a bit--- Being by the water- I thought that might play a factor. But I am THINKING POSITIVE for GREAT weather and an AWESOME race!
