Hi Coach- I've taken your advice and added 70.3 St George to my season to hold me over until my key races (IMMOO, IMAZ) in the fall. My plan is to load the Advanced Bike plan the 2nd week of Feb since it's my weaker discipline at the moment. Any changes you recco to my season roadmap with the addition of St. George on 5/7?  Thanks!

~8wks out from IMSG, load up the EN*Half plan to end on 5/8. Other than that, no changes required. Good luck and bring your best run and lightest weight. The IMSG run course is a bitch...

  • Coach- i'm in taper-mode for IMWI (#3 for me) on 9/11 and I've started to look ahead to my build for IM AZ in Nov. There's about a 9 week gap between events so I'd like to hear your opinion on how best to transition. My goal is to have a solid race in Wisco and PR in AZ, my hometown race.

That's great!...let's talk about it after IMWI . Short answer is I'll probably have you do ~2wks of the IM transition plan, then a few weeks of Get Faster, then back into the IM plan...but we'll handle all of that after WI. See you Thursday!

  • So Wisconsin didn't go as planned but such is life. After a little bit of a scare due to abdominal pain in Wisco, I'm now feeling much better and have been cleared by the doctor to get back into my training routine. Really not sure where to jump back in now that IMAZ is now two months out. Since I didn't run the marathon @ Wisco, i'm feeling good and very rested. Thanks and hope all is well in your prep for Kona!

    Hey Michael,

No worries, you did the smart thing. I'd like you to load up the IM plan to end on IMAZ and get back at it. See you in Tempe!
