2016 OS Core WEEK 14- WOOHOO!!!! ABS OF STEEL!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!? It's here! WEEK 14!!  We made it!!! Time to get our last sessions of core in...... for this training block that is!! So as you do your core this week, start to think about what plan you are going into next?!? How can you continue with the core routine in your new plan? Let's share some ideas! I know that I am going to plan to continue to do core on Mon/Fri and my functional strength work on these days as well.  I pledge to stick to this to help me stay strong and have an awesome 2016 season!!

So where is your core going to fit in??

Let's finish strong my friends!

  • Woooohoooo indeed! Really dont know what i'm doing after this week ....i fancy doing the outseason all over again. I loved it, fast and intense, and seeing so many gains (definitely feel faster) image

As for the Core routine - i'm going to move it from Mon/Fri to Wed/Saturdays. The reason being so I can tie it at the end of my mid-week longish and Weekend longer runs. I'm going to do functional strength routines Mon/Tue, Thur/Fri. This year, I want to feel strong and fast. In essence, an extra 20-30 mins a day (after my runs/bikes), to ensure i'm in peak injury free position.

  • Did my core work today instead of Monday, due to family conflicts. I did it after my bike workout, and after cranking out 3100 yds in the pool yesterday morning after not swimming for nearly 2 months. The arms were a little like jello for the cords. Push-ups did not suffer too bad until the last set. Overall, I feel much stronger than I have after previous OS's when my core workouts fell by the wayside. Glad I stuck with them this time, and I plan on carrying that momentum forward to my next workout phase - probably a run-speed focus to build on the run-far focus of the OS.

  • @ Ed- WOOOOHOOOO!! Way to get it done!!
