While I guess the answer is "no rear light will do the job on daylight".... it does not hurt to ask if anybody has found one worth the try? Better something than nothing to - at least - reduce the chance of getting hit from behind!!!

I've got a Flare R from Bontrager. Very visible during the day and at night. Riding partners have no problem seeing me so I'm hoping the cars also see me. Similar options as above light that Matt mentioned. Rechargeable battery. It is 65 lumens. Retails for $60. The power is no where near the one Matt mentions (200 lumens but $190). I've been very happy with mine.

Don't know what's best, but this little thing is dynamite.
