2016 Jan OS Week 6!! Comp/Core:Super Bowl Sunday excuse

Rock stars of the group - Chris and Leslie - WAY to go!!!  Keep up the great vids Al....

Super bowl is now over so it's back on track!! Or at least that's my excuse this week.  Thank goodness my cafe at work was only selling cupcakes for super bowl!!  I did my monthly body comp at my work's machine and thank goodness i haven't gained - whew.

Today did an idiot move w a Swiss Army knife which post-phoned today's bike ride - it was sunnyish in seattle today! ! That split second when your brain says no stop but the message doesn't reach the hand in time. Doh! Luckily back home in time for super bowl. New Sloan Super Bowl house rule - Ann is not allowed to do bike rides on super bowl Sunday. Few years back steve had to rescue me right before kick off due to bonking stupidity. We laughed about that as I left home today - ha not so funny now. At least it's only 6 stitches and not an awful accident.

Cheers to a great week.... keep up what's working  - if it's not working - try something else and share with the group.....

  • ok so how is everyone this week - i see CRICKETS here? do we have a super bowl hangover?? or we all focused on other stuff this week.
    Just thought I'd chime in.....happy week 6
  • @Ann, sorry to hear about your hand...I hope it's healing well.

I've been very consistent completing the core workouts and definitely feel a difference in my swimming. The cords are getting me used to engaging/using my Lats...no more tired shoulders. My weight has been very consistent until Tuesday. So, here's how to drop 3 pounds in one day (even though it's probably water weight): swim an hour in the morning then do a grueling 2x20' bike wko in the evening followed by a 30' brick run. I did that Tuesday and woke up Wednesday 3 pounds lighter. Today, I'm still 3 pounds lighter. First time dipping to 168 in several months.
  • OK- I need to update the spreadsheet because I have been doing (some) of the work but haven't kept the log current!

As for today, I swam with the Masters group at NTC here in Clermont. 50 meter pool with a shit load of pull sets. Holy cow my arms are toast! I think I'll be skipping the pushups and band pulls today!
  • Jelly Nemo! My niece took me to the NTC Sunday am, but it was wicked cold and windy. Steam was coming off the pool and just blowing away! Never made it in this trip. Next time! image
