2016 Jan OS Week 9 - core and comp

Running late on getting this started...hello to those of us still playing the core/comp game!!

  • With my broken toe, I am re-amping this segment of the OS. BUT! I can't rest weight on my toe, so I have to switch to push-up from the knee.

    And I can't do front plank - anybody have a suggestion for what to substitute for that - just do another set of front raises? Down a one-legged plank is harder than it sounds.

  • Al, have you tried a pyramid plank. Or if you have a low bench/chair/box/stack of books, you can put your ankles/lower legs on it with your feet hanging off the back edge. ?? You might need padding to protect your shins, depending on what you use.
  • Flip over and do it abs up...on your hands or elbows.
  • If no bench/raised knees you can do the (SP?) Chatarunga style from knees. Start as if doing a tricept pushup from knees...just stop at botom-2" from touching your nose...get a good pelvic tuck...and hold for time.
