Basic Workout Description Question

Halfway through week 1 and all is well.  I look at the Thursday run on Week 6 of the 2016 Half Intermediate plan (which I will be doing on Saturday, by the way) and the math isn't adding up.  The workout reads as follows:

10' @ TRP, 70' @ z2/MP/Steady,  5' @ z3/HMP/ModHard

There is also a comment to do the "standard EN warmup", which amounts to 15 minutes.

Here is the confusion.  If my math is correct, 15' warmup + 10' TRP + 70' z2 + 5' z3 = 100 total minutes.  The workout is listed as 70 mins total.  The z2 + z3 work alone adds up to 75 mins, so not sure if the 70' z2 is a typo or not.  I have no issue with 70 or 100 mins or anything in between, I'm just trying to figure out what the workout total length SHOULD be.

  • Mark, great catch. I just updated...the plan...not sure what that's about. That said, the Standard EN warmup is more for the regular runs...the long runs should just be done as listed, so I have edited that as well.
