Riding suggestions in Sarasota?

This weekend I will be in Sarasota, where we will have OJ's bike with us.  Since I am a kind of short man and she is tall young woman, I can ride her bike.  :-) 

Since it will be "vacation" for a day or two after her race, I'm not looking for anything epic, but I would like to get in a nice ride for an hour or two.

Does anyone have a suggestion that I could get to from this address?  Thanks!

We head to that area every spring break for my kids. I always enjoy my rides up and down Long boat key. Nice shoulders to the road. Very few lights so it makes for some nice stretches to let it rip. About a 20 miler tip to tip and back.. There is also an active cyclist group called Village Idiots that is based in Lakewood ranch. They do many group rides throughout the week at different times. There is also a nice trail system called legacy from Sarasota to Venice. Just google it. Enjoy!
